Authorized Kolbe dealer · Ketchum, Idaho
Kolbe performance at the price point that works when a whole house needs windows. Supplied and installed in the Wood River Valley by the shop that has glazed this valley for 36 years.
Most window conversations start with one opening. Forgent conversations usually start with twenty. A whole-house remodel, a spec build, an addition where every elevation needs units, and suddenly the difference between lines is not a preference, it is a five-figure line item.
Forgent is Kolbe's answer to exactly that situation: clean lines and strong performance at a lower price point than their wood and aluminum collections. It is the line we quote when the budget has to stretch across a lot of openings without the project going generic.
We are an authorized Kolbe dealer, and in this valley Forgent most often wins on remodels and new builds where the window count is high and the architecture is clean rather than ornate.
Forgent frames are built from Glastra, a hybrid material Kolbe developed instead of using wood or clad wood. The practical version: it is a material made to hold its shape and finish through weather that punishes painted wood, without the upkeep wood asks for.
The series comes two ways. All-Glastra keeps the same material inside and out, which is the simplest and most durable answer. The wood interior option puts real wood on the room side, so a bedroom or living room keeps the warmth people want from a window without giving the exterior back to the weather.
In a valley where windows take hard UV at elevation, months of freeze and thaw, and big daily temperature swings, a frame material that does not need repainting is not a small thing. The glass still does the thermal work, and we spec the coatings by elevation the same way we do on every line: Low-E where the sun hits, and insulated units built for cold nights.
It is a different set of trade-offs, not a lesser window. You give up the ultra-thin sightlines of VistaLuxe and the clad-wood build of the Ultra Series; you keep Kolbe engineering and gain a price that works across a big count of openings. On many projects it is simply the correct answer.
When the design leans on huge uninterrupted glass or very slim frames, that is VistaLuxe territory. When the house is traditional and the interior is wood everywhere, the Ultra Series usually fits better. If you are between lines, send the plans and we will quote both so the difference is a number instead of a guess.

Whatever the line, the process is ours: the takeoff comes off your drawings at the shop on Lewis Street, every opening is confirmed by our own measurement before the order goes in, and the crew that sets the units works out of Ketchum. Units are built to the opening and cannot be trimmed afterward, so the measurement has to be right the first time, and it has to be ours.
