Eleven miles north of you on Highway 75. Broken and foggy windows, screens rescreened, shower glass and mirrors cut to size, from a shop that has served this valley for 36 years.
Hailey sits about eleven miles south of Ketchum on Highway 75, and it has been part of our service area for the whole 36 years we have been in business. Our shop is on Lewis Street in Ketchum, and we come down the valley for measures and installs the same as we would for a job in town.
For smaller work there is a second option worth knowing about: screens can come straight to the shop. If you are already driving north, dropping them off saves waiting for anyone to come to you.
Most calls we get from Hailey are repairs rather than replacements, and the good news is that a repair is usually the cheaper answer. A window is a frame and a glass unit, and the two fail independently. When the glass fogs or breaks but the frame is still solid, we replace the glass and keep your frame.
A full window replacement makes sense when the frame itself has gone, when the window no longer opens and closes properly, or when you are upgrading a whole elevation at once. We will tell you honestly which one you are looking at. Being told a repair will do is a better outcome for everyone than selling a window that was not needed.
Hailey sits a little lower than Ketchum, around 5,300 feet, but the freeze and thaw cycle through a valley winter is hard on glass everywhere in it. A hairline crack in November is often a full break by spring, because water gets into the crack, freezes and pushes it wider every night.
Rescreening puts fresh mesh in your existing frame and is one of the quickest, cheapest things we do. When the frame itself is bent or corroded we build a new one. Bring them to the shop or we will pick them up on a valley run.
The seal on the insulated unit has failed and there is moisture between the panes. It cannot be cleaned or dried out, but the unit can be replaced while your frame stays where it is.
Measure the opening if you can, or send a photo. Glass is cut to size and cannot be trimmed once tempered, so we confirm every measurement ourselves before anything is ordered.
